Delhi Capitals scored a smashing victory of 6 wickets over Punjab Kings at the 11th match of the Vivo IPL 2021. The match took place at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai which commenced at 7.30 pm. The player of the match was Shikher Dhawan.
The game started with Rishabh Pant winning the toss and deciding to field first. Chasing runs in the second innings was the best decision behind their victory. Delhi had a great innings; they were unstoppable till Prithvi Shaw got out bringing DC to 59 runs at the loss of 1 wicket in 5.3 overs. After that there was a short-term partnership between Shikhar Dhawan and Steve Smith till Smith got out by just making 9 runs in 12 balls.

After the wicket of Steve Smith, came captain Rishabh Pant who had the hopes really high for the fans of Delhi Capitals. He and Shikhar Dhawan were looking very good in the game while Dhawan was smashing boundaries. Delhi in the final overs when they needed just 8 runs to win
After Richardson got Pant, Lalit Yadav came to be a part of the victory with a boundary in his first ball of the match. This was the stage when Delhi needed 8 runs in two overs. The bowling of Punjab Kings was good but Delhi was over prepared to take on the toughest challenges. They bulldozed Punjab Kings and their fans are looking forward to them winning more matches even in the rest of the tournament.

Punjab Kings managed to pile up a score of 195 runs because of the good start they had in the match. However, captain KL Rahul might think that they are still some runs short in spite of the 122 runs partnership till the early half of the innings. The first wicket they lost was of Mayank Agarwal who made a toll of 69 runs in 36 balls. The next wicket was of KL Rahul who made 61 runs in 51 balls, till he was caught out.
